It sounded strange to me like the gears were messed up but it ended up working fantastic while taking hours of abuse back to back. I couldn't put alot of pressure on it or it would bog down but I suppose you don't need to push down on it too much anyway. I took my 1000 grit wet sanded paint to a nice shiny gloss using a low cost oreilly's rubbing compound, great product!
