2 of 3 people found the following review helpful.I am a heavy duty truck tech and I have one of the older IR 261 that has had years of abuse throwed at it and have been looking at the 2145 for awhile but didn't know if I really needed another 3/4 impact, I finally took a gamble simply because this one weighs 5 pounds less and is listed at 250 more ft/lbs of breakaway power, and alot of times I am using mine overhead. So The other day I got mine and oiled it up and plugged it in to the airline and it was so quite that it hurt my feelings, lol. Now let me point out I have the 2135Q and this is even quieter than it, anyway as quiet as it was I knew it wasn't going to have any power, it just made my stomach roll that I had put out that much money for it, so I just laid it in my tool cart and walked away. A few minutes later we had a truck roll in to get some tires, we generally use the long shank IRT285B-6 1 inch Ingersoll's on these but I decided to try this thing out and holy cow, it blew my mind it zipped the lugs off like I was doing a car instead of a semi. I ended up doing 12 tires with it that day and only had 2 lugs it would not break loose, and to be fair the 1 inch wouldn't break those 2 loose either without a lot of hammering. I am SUPER happy with this impact and look forward to many years of use from it.Thank you Ingersoll Rand
