Product Description
This 2-step filtration system prevents two of the most common culprits of micro-marring. You wouldn't rub sand on your paint finish; why would you wash your vehicle in sediment and hard water? In short, most of us need a two-part filtration system to ensure that the water coming out of the garden hose is truly clean. The Deluxe Filter System is a comprehensive two-step, in-line filter system that both removes sediment and softens the water. This one package is all you need to ensure you're washing your vehicle in clean, soft water. The Deluxe Filter System is a practical solution to hard water and sediment. The entire system can be attached to your hose and removed as needed. If you prefer to leave it in place, mount the two clear filters to the wall by the spigot. We recommend attaching a Y-valve to the spigot so the filter system can remain connected when not in use. Remember, if you're washing your vehicle with unfiltered water, you could unknowingly be pouring hard water scale or sediment on the paint finish. The Deluxe Filter System eliminates both culprits so the water that cleans your vehicle is truly clean.

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. My tap water is horrible for washing vehicles. Even if I tried to dry the sections as I washed them, I still ended up with nasty white water spots that would not wipe off. I was thrilled when I found this system and ordered one. As soon as it got here I hooked it up and tested it by washing my black truck. It's paint is showing it's age and my water is so hard that I don't think it's possible to not have spots if air dried. However, now when I wipe off the big drops my truck is spot free which I never would have thought possible. If I do let it air dry, now the spots will wipe off which was never possible before. Now I'm left with a smooth shiny black surface that's ready to wax. It's a little pricey but well worth it if you own 5 vehicles and have nasty hard tap water! We'll see how long the thrill lasts before I no longer want to wash everything in sight :)
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.i have seen negative reviews elsewhere on this system because they stated you could find the parts at home depot for much less. i looked at my local home depot and lowes, but they did not offer the water softener cartridges in this size. i then did an online search/price comparison and found that the two filters and housings would cost around $90 - $100 alone, not to mention the mounting brackets, hose fittings and sections of hose that you would need. i figured it was worth the few dollars i may save by doing it the lazy way and ordering this complete system.you use this by washing your car as normal, but after rinsing you would use the filtered water to spray off the hard water (instead of using a chamois to wipe down the vehicle) and let it air dry. water pressure is sufficient to be able spray down the car from a few feet away. i had been using the mr clean car wash system, but the filters are no longer available. this filter system supplies higher water pressure, in fact, i use the mr clean 'gun' to do my car washes (with filter removed) - mainly to use the auto soap dispenser. with this, there is no more wringing out the chamois or having to wash the windows separately.
