3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.One of the major costs of products today is transport costs, mainly due to rising fuel and tax costs.Water is heavy. Something like 8 lbs per gallon, so if you could ship a product that is 98% water, WITHOUT the water, there should be a major savings, right?That is what we get with this product. You supply water and they supply a superior windshield cleaning solvent in tablet form.I keep a gallon jug on a shelf next to a tube of these pellets. When the windshield washer light blinks, I fill up the automobile jug from the gallon I previously prepared. When the gallon is empty, I drop in another pellet, fill it up with water and set it back on the shelf. Next time an auto is empty, repeat the process. Empty gallon jug, shelf space and these pellets are all that are necessary for a minimum 66% savings.Cold climate livers. You will need an antifreeze laced product, and these pellets will not substitute for that need - BUT - one pellet added to your antifreeze wash solvent will help clear the muddy, salty debris which coats your windshield during slushy wintry weather, while helping protect from scratching caused by salt and sand caught under you wiper blades.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.These work great, and don't cause streaks on the windshield like I've found with the Rain-X solvent.- Don't exceed the concentration recommended too much - I did this because I did not have a gallon sized container to measure the water in, and over several refills, I found the reservoir developed a very strong sulfur smell. I've not had the issue since draining and refilling with closer to the recommended concentration.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.I've used this for several years. Just put a tablet in your washer container and a gallon of distilled water (not tap water since it may clog the system). It is non-toxic but it will freeze if temps dip below 32 F.
