9 of 10 people found the following review helpful.First to address the other review, I would surmise folks buy this smaller 3'' kit already have the 6 inch and buy some extra pads for it also. That is what I did, what is disingenuous about that suggestion? On to the review. I have used many brands of other products and wanted to see if Griots was really that good. It is, I was really impressed with the clay and speed shine It took off more gunk and less paint than Meguires which was way too aggressive. I was nervous about using the polish and machine as everyone has seen some poor car "swirled" to death. Not to worry it seems Griots products are all very gentle. As it was dusk when I was finishing up I won't really know about the wax untill tomorrow. The 6" machine is very good at least compared to the cheap Walmart buffer it replaces. The 3" machine is a different type by the way it performs when it is on but it still gets the job done admirably. These kits are the only way to buy them as Griots would just be too much for me to justify, even as good as it is, otherwise. I really don't like how most kits are put together, if you want to go all out, clay polish, glaze, wax and seal you have to buy several kits or piece it together at individual prices. I wish they would offer a full product line kit.
4 of 5 people found the following review helpful.I picked up the 3" polisher and test started it up after it arrived. It was very noisey, sounded like bearings or a bad gear. Amazon would not do anything since they stated it was a non returnable item. I contacted Griot's and they agreed to have the unit returned and replaced. New unit arrived within a week and works just fine.Be careful what you purchase on Amazon, thanks Griot's for standing behind your product.
2 of 3 people found the following review helpful.Do yourself a favor and buy the 6 inch Griots DA polisher instead.The three inch has higher RPMS, but it doesn't do squat when polishing my car or removing water spots from some glass.The six inch has the power to work out the scratches. And if you are careful with loading the polish and applying pressure, you can have it buff three inch sized areas.The bag is NICE. Just enough room for both polishers, and a bunch of pads and polishes in the pockets.
